To anyone who is reading this, hi, my name is Kevin! I am a high school senior who is working my way into the field of engineering, and I hope to really become a mechanical engineer one day. My passion for becoming a mechanical engineer stems from my love of building, especially robots.
Beginning in 8th grade, I joined my middle school's FLL (First Lego League) team that created small-sized robots, from legos, which competed in competitions to gain the most points by completing the objectives of the game. Once I moved on from middle school, I joined my high school's FRC (First Robotics Competition) team. Having been a part of the team since my freshman year, I have worked my way to becoming the captain of our team, helping to lead and teach other younger students about the engineering process and STEM. Since my junior year, I have been leading the design, fabrication, and construction of our competition robots which compete in district, state, and national competitions. My passion for robotics and creating continues to grow, pushing me to want to pursue mechanical engineering.
